The new integrated CDS™ splice process control system offers an alternative, very rapid system for core-to-core alignment of fibers which are not supposed to be processed with the LID-System™. With this system, the speed of the splice process can be reduced to a few seconds. The system achieves splendid splicing results for current fibers with a high core-cladding concentricity.

The familiar L-PAS™ is employed for quick prealignment, endface evaluation, contamination detection and for fiber position analysis.

Applications

For splicing all common single- and multimode glass fibers as well as special fiber types (titanium coated, LS, DS and NZDS fibers such as TrueWave™ and LEAF™, for example)
For Telco, CATV, Long-Haul, Enterprise and FTT networks in which extremely low splice losses are required
Wherever dependable and reproducible splicing results are required, regardless of fiber type, fiber manufacturer, fiber preparation and operator capabilities
